Tobacco processing

The dried tobacco leaves are treated in Heupink & Bloemen’s vacuum chamber to make them soft and moist for processing. The soft warm leaves go from the vacuum chamber to the blending bunkers where they are mixed at the appropriate temperature and humidity.

Once the tobacco blend is ready, the leaves are cut. This cut tobacco is then stored for at least 24 hours to achieve a full flavour and richness before it is processed into the finished product, fine cut and cigarettes.
